Description
Potassium hydroxide is a kind of inorganic compound, chemical formula for KOH, is a common inorganic base, with strong
alkaline, 0.1mol/L solution of pH 13.5, soluble in water, ethanol, easy to absorb the water in the air
and deliquescent, absorb carbon dioxide and into potassium carbonate, mainly used as raw materials for the production of
potassium salt, can also be used for electroplating, printing and dyeing.
Potassium hydroxide Mainly used in alkaline batteries industry, soaps, high-class Detergents and cosmetics industrial,
medicine intermediate, potassium chemicals, synthetic rubber, ABS resin, food additive dyestuffs and so on.

Usage
KOH can use in many fields as below :
Used as a desiccant, absorbent, used to make oxalic acid and various potassium salts, and also used in electroplating, engraving,
lithography and so on. In the pharmaceutical industry, used in the production of potassium borohydride, andiolactone, sarhepatol, propionate, etc. Used in light industry for the production of potash soap, alkaline batteries, and cosmetics (such as cold cream, snow cream and shampoo). In the dye industry, used in the production of VAT dyes, such as VAT blue RSN, etc.
In the electrochemical industry, used for electroplating, engraving, etc. In the textile industry, it is used for printing and dyeing, bleaching
and mercerizing, and is widely used as the main raw material for the manufacture of man-made fibers and polyester fibers.
In addition, it is also used for metallurgical heating agents and leather degreasing.
Used as an absorbent for analytical reagents, saponification reagents, carbon dioxide, and water.
